Each Filter is hand-made and takes a number of days to complete

As you all know MWR are always in the hunt for power and to keep our Factory / teams happy. MWR found specifically on the “big 1000 cc bikes” the oem filter surface was too small , it doesn’t matter what filter you install you always have a kind of restriction , well known also is that the MWR “R” filter give the best power overall compared with all other sports filters.

With the corporation of KHI , MV Agusta and MotoGP teams we developed a new style , customized air filter that increases the filter surface enormously . On the BMW S1000RR we could increase the surface with 50% , on the GSXR 1000 – 1199 & R1 we could increase the surface with 90-100% . More & bigger surface means less restriction and a better protection . The secret in the new style filters is that MWR use two different kind of foam materials . The part where the logo is printed is foam material used for our road bikes , the rest is the foam material for the full race filters . The road material is placed on a conscious place to create the same effect as the splitter plate on our “HE” & “R” filters .

All WSBK filters are hand made, including the glueing and cutting.

Tests up to now proofs average gains of min. 6.5HP over the MWR “R” filters. Unfortunately no graphs are available yet , teams don’t want to share their data with us , and hereby I ask to you all when graphs appear share it with us via social media

The shape of the filter is "adapted" to the airbox to make it as big as possible , one of the reasons why we can't make the WSBK filter for every bike . We are able to increase the filtersurface from 50 - 100% , depending on the type of bike. 

 The filters have been in use by: Tom Sykes ( 2 years now), 2014 World Champions Yamaha GMT 94, MV Agusta World Superbike , Ryuichi Kiyonari (BSB) , IOM TT Winner Michael Dunlop , AMA Superbike team TPL Corse ( Ducati) , Double 899 Cup Champions (BSB) Carl Cox/P&H Motorcycles and Dani Rivas ( CEV Superbikes , BMW). BMW Motorrad Italia with Sylvain Barrier. The pricing is higher as our other MWR range of air filters because they are very labour-intensive . The filters are produced in steps of four days before they are ready . This to secure the quality of the filters . There is no other way to make these filters in this style.

The "WSBK" filter for the 899/1199 Panigale has been tested by several  top teams all around the world and has already proven to be the winning Championship filter . The OEM filter has a too small filter surface compared to the big engine / performance of the bike .
