R&G manufacture and market individual designs for around eighty different models of crash protectors which received an MCN rating of 97% in 2001. These are not "mushrooms" and, unlike most competitors, R&G use de-embrittled high-tensile steel bolts, designed not to snap off on impact. R&G insert compression sleeves inside the bobbins, which are designed to scrub speed from crashes quickly and minimize damage to frames and fairings in most crash scenarios.

UNDO FRONT ENGINE MOUNT BOLT
TAKE ONE OF THE BOLTS AND SLIDE 2 WASHERS OVER BOLT AND UPTO THE HEAD
SLIDE BOLT THROUGH ONE OF THE CRASH PROTECORS
TAKE THE SHORTIST OF THE 2 SPACERS AND SLIDE IT LARGE DIAMETER FIRST , OVER THE BOLT AND UP TO THE PROTECTOR
BOLT THE ASSEMBLY BACK INTO THE FRONT ENGINE POSITION AND TIGHTEN
